The Pro Series Ultra Filter is installed in tandem with a whole house carbon system. The Ultra Filter further reduces particulates down from the 5 micron level of the whole house carbon filter to .015 microns. To help give you a point of reference for the size of a micron, the average strand of hair is 30 microns. The Pro Series Ultra Filter is a green alternative to traditional RO systems that produce tremendous water waste. The system requires minimal electricity and because no chemicals are used in the filtration process, the backflush water can be used for irrigation. The cartridge works for 750,000 gallons and then it can be replaced by your service provider.
